The red field holds a bold ivory shield medallion with a deep blue center, surrounded by small hooked motifs and stylized trees. The colors are very nice, rich and saturated, and the ivory main border has a very unusual design. A powerful and early example of Caucasian village weaving.

Condition: Excellent condition. Full pile.

The deep red field holds a bold stepped double niche medallion in ivory, with a blue and gold center filled with classic hooked motifs, and small rosettes scattered around it. The borders are lively and colorful, with serrated leaves and geometric motifs in blue, gold, ivory and red. A strong and graphic village rug, woven with thick, lustrous wool.

Condition: In original condition, with full pile. Just a tiny old repair, and it needs some small services. Other than that, in excellent condition.

Most Talish rugs have a blue field and an ivory border, but this one has a warm red field and a green main border. The open field holds two boxed medallions and a scattering of small stars and rosettes, framed by bands of colorful "dice" and rosette motifs. The colors are beautiful and full of life, a true collector's piece.

Condition: Full pile. Old restoration at the ends and sides, and some good restoration in the field. A few small areas of low pile.
